Bruce Fenton, President of West Smoky Legion No. 244, along with the Legion Members, voted unanimously to donate to specific charities and non-profit societies.

Bruce Fenton, President of the West Smoky Legion No. 244, presents Sam Burns, representative from the Bezanson School Booster Club Playground Committee, with a cheque for $10,000.


Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation
This donation was especially meaningful this year as the grandson of two of the Legion Members was a patient at the Stollery Children’s Hospital.


Grande Prairie & District Victim Services is a policed based, non-profit, charitable society that works with the RCMP to provide support, information and referrals to residents of Grande Prairie and District during times of crisis, trauma or tragedy, whether they are victims of crime, sudden death or family crisis.


The War Amps is committed to improving the quality of life for Canadian Amputees.


Ronald McDonald House Charities mission is to improve the lives of families with seriously ill or injured children receiving treatment in Edmonton.


Hope Heels Service Dogs is a small, volunteer run organization that raises, trains, and provides PTSD service dogs to veterans and first responders who live in the Edmonton and Grande Prairie areas.


Odyssey House
provides safe, secure, and supportive accommodation for women and their children, who are victims of domestic violence, are in crisis, or in need of a housing alternative.
