Grade 9 Class raising Funds for 2019 Quebec Trip

This upcoming May ten of the Bezanson Grade 9 students will be venturing off to Quebec City with their teacher Miss Jillian Owens to practice their French, see the sights and experience French Canadian culture first hand.

The group is scheduled to enjoy a number of fascinating activities including a tour of Old Quebec City, a visit to the Montmorency Falls and of course a visit to a traditional sugar shack for a sampling of some real Canadian maple syrup taffy served straight from the snow.

To help raise funds for their trip students are working hard individually doing odd jobs as well as in a team environment organizing two fundraising events.

In March the students will be doing a bottle drive. Please save your bottles and let any of the grade 9 students (parents listed below) or the Bezanson School know you have bottles waiting for pickup!

In addition, next weekend, February 9th, the students will be hosting a night of entertainment at the Knelsen Centre with Hypnotist Sebastian Steel, one of Canada’s funniest hypnotists. The show was a laughing good time last year and is sure to be equally entertaining this year with a new routine and of course a new team of entertainers on stage.

“I haven’t laughed that hard in 20 years,” says lasts years audience member. “It’s a great way to spend an evening and help get these kids out to see the world. I’ll be there this year, wouldn’t miss it!”

Please come out to support the grade 9 students and their fundraising efforts. Tickets are $35 each, available at the Bezanson School 780-532-6490, the Bezanson General Store or any of the Grade 9 students traveling to Quebec this year. Babysitting will be available at the Knelsen Centre for $5 per child.

The function will also have a small concession available and several silent auction items to bid on before the show and during intermission. Doors open at 6:30 pm. Tickets will be available at the door.
