Grande Prairie and District Rural Crime Watch

Contact

Grande Prairie District Rural Crime Watch Association (GPDRWA) is a non-profit organization with an elected volunteer board of directors. There are three separate groups in the immediate area- Beaverlodge, Grovedale and Grande Prairie, all functioning under the Provincial Rural Crime Watch Association. Watch for meetings in your area if you would like to take an active role in crime prevention. We invite you to browse our new website at gpcrimewatch.ca. There are exciting plans for the future of crime prevention in the rural areas that involve you! That’s right, you can help by being an extra set of eyes and ears in your area and help make your community a safer place to live.

Membership for a rural resident is only $10.00 a year so go ahead, download your application right from the website! Your membership allows you many benefits which include: fan-out calls, the right to vote at meetings, the use of a high visibility gate sign, and the ability to become a board member! You do not have to be a member to call in suspicious activity though, anyone can call our tip line at 780-831-4390 to report details that will help neighbors and law enforcement. All information we get comes from you, the community so don’t hesitate to call if something looks out of place or feels wrong.

Our goal is to collaborate with all local law enforcement and community crime prevention groups and to remain informed on current crime prevention information and strategies. We also provide you, the public with information by way of our web page, meetings, fan-outs, and blogs as to which emergency responder to contact for each unique situation. (ie: Report a Poacher). In the future we plan to bring you updates on our website direct from RCMP and agencies but for now, let’s all do our job in crime prevention!
