Regular services held weekly. We also host regular Youth Group events.
Our History September 1971-July 2015
The Bezanson Community Church was formed in 1971 under Village Missions. The first service was held on September 12, 1971 with approximately 25 people in attendance. The offering was $22.97. The church building was a former schoolhouse, which had been given to the community to be used as a church. The United Church held services here for several years and then closed down. Village Missions was then invited into the community and the building was purchased from the United Church for $1.00.
During the leadership of Village Missions a 24’x 24′ addition was built on the west end of the church at a cost of approximately $15,000. Further renovations were also made to the building.
In July of 1990, a decision was made to change our church affiliation from Village Missions to the Evangelical Free Church of Canada. This change was supported by a vote of 85%.
On September 10, 1995, a sod turning ceremony took place on a new location for a new facility. The old church building was sold and the money was used to help pay for the new building.
On November 3, 1996, the new building was dedicated. We had a 25th year church anniversary celebration the same weekend.
September 11, 2011 was the celebration of our 40th Anniversary of the Bezanson Community Church.
Our congregation lives with an approximate radius of 40 miles.
In the last few years we had transitioned out of being a small rural family church into a multi-staffed growing church.
In November 2015 we are very thankful to have Pastor Greg and Colleen Clairmont agree to come and serve our congregation and community.
We have been blessed by growing families as we serve our Lord, each other, and our community.
