Laura LaValleyLaura grew up on a grain farm and bison ranch near DeBolt, AB. She graduated from Ridgevalley School, and then attended Grande Prairie Regional College where she received a diploma in Business Administration – Marketing/Management.

Laura has been involved with the Bezanson Volunteer Fire Department since it’s inception in 2003 and has always been passionate about community work! In 2009 Laura became an Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) and played an integral role in the start of medical co-response for our community and is currently acting as the MFR Unit Chief. In 2013 she completed her 10-01 career qualified firefighter certificate and continues to work with the BVFD Society on their community initiatives.

She has remained involved with not for profits throughout her career such as the Regional EMS Foundation, QEII Hospital Foundation, and the Grande Prairie Public School District’s Education Foundation where she managed fundraising campaigns, programming and initiatives, and special events.

Laura lives north of Bezanson on a small bison ranch with her husband Tyler, sons Mason and Carter, and daughter Sierra.   In her spare time, she can be found at her kid’s sporting events, camping, and spending time with family and friends.
